This weekend was stunning and the whole family ventured to the pool and the park to enjoy the first day of spring. The morning was filled with swim class at the Y. Pierce is the youngest baby by quite a few months, but he loves the water, and even got to go down the slide, landing in Halsey's arms.
At the park Pierce tested out the slide (with assistance from Dad) and the swings. He loved sitting in the bucket seat and having Mom and Dad push him. We got lots of smiles and giggles from the ride!

Dancing Machine
Pierce loves his exersaucer, but this last week, he has turned it into a jump-a-roo. We had to raise it to the highest setting out of fear he was going to launch himself out of it with his jumps. Cousin Foster seems to have the same reaction to his exersaucer now, too. His video is at fosterlittle.blogspot.com.

Hola Mexico!
Pierce, Halsey and I visited Mexico last week for our first international trip as a family. Halsey's cousin Grinnell got married in Zihuatanejo, a beautiful beach resort town on the Mexican Riviera. Pierce was an AWESOME little traveler, and slept most of the way out and back. He slept well while we were there--probably from his twice a day swim sessions--and enjoyed his time in the sun. We had him slathered in sunscreen, wearing a UPF swim shirt and a sun hat when we went outside. We weren't taking any chances with his uber-fair complexion. It was a great trip and we are looking forward to our upcoming trip to Aruba with the Bourques!
Right before the trip, Pierce had a couple of vaccine boosters, and the doctor was impressed with how big Pierce looked. We had an unofficial weigh in and Pierce is tipping the scales at just over 20 pounds! Our little noodle (long and lean) has worked his way into the 76% for weight. He loves his meals so much! It is such a relief to not be constantly worrying about his weight anymore. He is a healthy and very happy little boy!
Pierce must finally be getting his teeth, since he is drooling everywhere, sticking everything he can into his mouth, and chewing up a storm. His clothes stay dry for about the first 10 minutes of the day, and no bib can keep the drool at bay. It doesn't help that he is blowing raspberries and bubbles. Hopefully those little chompers come in soon!

Funny Monkey
Pierce was laughing up a storm this afternoon, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a video. He's turned into a real charmer this week--sticking out his tongue, blowing raspberries, and chewing on his fingers. I think teething is not far off! Also, we had our first swim class last Saturday. Piercy took to the water just like a little fish. If I can figure out how to edit the video I'll post it up for you!
