Happy Easter!

We had a lovely and gorgeous spring day here for our Easter celebration. We were up in Manchester for some egg-dyeing, church, brunch and an Easter egg hunt! Pierce woke up and opened his Easter basket, and couldn't stop saying "Easter bunny" all day. However, when it came to having his picture taken with the real Easter bunny, he burst into tears! He tore across the grass and hid inside until he could catch his breath. Maybe next year will be less scary!

20 months and counting

This weekend was BIG around our house! Pierce made the transition to his big boy bed in his new big boy room. He had a hard time falling asleep, but stayed down once he closed his eyes. He's got a lot more room to move around in bed, and quickly figured out that he can climb out of the bed and pull on his door. We are trying to space apart the room move and the baby's arrival so that Pierce doesn't feel like Mini-Mo #2 is taking over his stuff! We'll post some pictures as soon as we can snap them while he's sleeping. We've been reading a lot of books about being a big brother, and he got a babydoll last weekend to cart around. He quickly named the baby Nonni, and loves to carry it around the house and help take care of it. Hopefully he feels just as protective of the real deal when it arrives in 10 short weeks!

Pierce is a huge fan of running everywhere. Since the weather has warmed up (a bit!) we've been spending lots of time outside. His favorite activity post-dinner is a little game of soccer out in the backyard. Pierce will stand, with his soccer ball, next to Sadie at the backdoor and say "Piercey soccer outside". The video below catches him inside on a recent rainy afternoon, when running outdoors wasn't a possibility.

Cousin Time!

Chris, Liz and Foster made the journey up to Boston to visit with family before Liz gets any further along in her pregnancy. She is due the same date as I am (June 25), and are waiting to welcome a little sister for Foster. We are so grateful they made the long drive up at 27 weeks pregnant!

Pierce and Foster had not seen each other since Christmas, and had a blast running around outside, playing together with all of Pierce's toys, and sharing snuggles and hugs. Foster's other cousin, Carter, and Will and Erika Mills came to join in on the fun on Sunday morning, and all three boys got along remarkably well, despite some illness in the group!

It is so much fun to have cousins of the same age and watching the boys (and future kiddos) grow up together is a blast.
