Walking on his own two feet!

Teddy hit 13 months and is off and walking! He seems much more sure-footed than Pierce at this point in the walking game, and prefers to walk as much as he can. He still needs to pull himself up to a stand before getting anywhere, but can squat to pick things up off the ground and rise back up.  Here's a little video of him on his two feet.

Marvelous Mystic

While the men in our family went on their annual fishing trip to Montana, Nana, Liz, me and all the kiddos went to Mystic, CT for a weekend of fun. The town was adorable, and we rented a beautiful house walking distance to all of the action. We spent the days exploring the Mystic Seaport and the Aquarium, as well as spending lots of time playing in and around our house. We'd go back to "our house in Connecticut" (as Pierce calls it) in a heartbeat!

4th of July

We had a fun and festive 4th of July with our annual celebration at Marmie and Papa's house! The Bourques arrived for some daytime fun, and, as usual, Pierce and Erin could not get enough of eachother--too cute! We had a blast watching the parades, having a picnic lunch and swimming at Myopia. Teddy was asleep by the time the guests arrived, but Pierce welcomed them with open arms and entertained them until bedtime. He is looking forward to the day when he can stay up for the fireworks!

Party time!

Practicing his party face

There it is!
Teddy's Very Hungry Caterpillar themed birthday party was a hit! I had such fun collecting ideas and inspiration, and doing all of the paper decorations myself. Pierce loved seeing one of his favorite books "in action", and Teddy seemed to appreciate it, too, pointing to the caterpillar balloons and smiling.  He also inhaled the cake (followed by a cupcake) and enjoyed his first taste of ice cream, too!

It was delish!
The party was tons of fun, and we are so grateful for all of the friends and family who were able to join us to celebrate Teddy's first year. Life with our two boys couldn't be better, and we can't wait to see what the next year will bring!
