April Showers...

Bring APRIL flowers! We capped off an unusually warm month with a couple of rainy days at the end. This rain gave us some time to play indoors where the boys read books together, mastered the crawling tunnel, and dove into the ball pit. Teddy's first real word is ball (just like big brother Pierce), so when he came downstairs from his nap to see a pit full of balls in the front hall, it was like a dream come true. He tried to launch out of my arms into the pit, all the while saying "ba, ba, ba". It was just as much a hit with Pierce, who loves dumping all the balls out then shooting them back in--basketball style!

Teddy and Pierce have really started to play together, which is adorable. They adore the play kitchen, making music with instruments and laughing at one another's antics. They are one another's biggest fans, and I love hearing the peals of laughter when they play. Recently, Pierce has been getting in the car, looking over at Teddy in his seat and saying "you're so cute, Teddy!" Melts my heart every time.

Hoppy Easter!

We just wrapped up a wonderful weekend of Easter activities with both boys! Friday kicked off the festivities with some egg dyeing with our friends Tessa and Spenser Deng and their mom Shanna. It's amazing that dyeing 2 dozen eggs with two 2.5 year olds and a 4 year old took all of 10 minutes--with many egg casualties and dumped dye cups along the way. Fun was had by all! Halsey came home around lunch time, and after nice naps, we went for a family run and some play time at a local playground.

Saturday was beautiful and we had some time in the morning to take our first trip to the garden store. The Easter bunny was there, and Pierce was brave enough to take a lollipop from him this year. We also picked up some pansies for planting and lawn seed. Can't wait to start digging in the dirt! Later that afternoon we headed to Manchester for more egg dyeing with Fred, Liz and Darcy. Pierce did slightly better with the dye cups, but gave some poor eggs a good smashing! :) Pierce was convinced that he heard the the Easter bunny hopping through the house that night and couldn't wait for the morning to arrive.

In the morning, the boys woke up to some great Easter baskets, and treats from Darcy, Marmie and Papa and Nana and Pops. The Easter bunny had also set up some eggs for an indoor egg hunt. Pierce was so excited to find eggs around the living room--then hand them out for everyone to eat for breakfast--even Teddy! The boys were great during church, then it was off to Myopia for another egg hunt, pictures with the Easter bunny and a delicious brunch. The weather turned cold and raw just in time for the hunt, so it was quick. Pierce found 4 eggs, and was more excited by the chocolate inside than the eggs. Teddy will join Pierce for the hunt next year and chasing him around the tennis courts.

We had some long naps and lots of stories about Easter following our busy morning. It was a wonderful day with both of our boys and the Morrises! Hoppy Easter everyone!
